JERE HUNT, a native of Huntsville, AL, received his BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College under the direction of Katie Langan. While there, he performed works by David Parsons, Christopher d’Amboise, Martha Graham, Molissa Fenley, Edgar Zendejas, and others. Mr. Hunt joined Rioult Dance New York in August 2010 and was recently privileged to set Rioult’s signature work, Bolero, on students at Adelphi University. He also currently dances with Veracity Dance Theatre. He has previously worked with SYREN Modern Dance, DeMa Dance, and such choreographers as Larry Keigwin, Lane Gifford, and Kristi Sutton. Mr. Hunt was an apprentice with the Alabama Ballet during the 2006-2007 season under the direction of Wes Chapman. He has been on the Summer Intensive faculty at Ballet Tennessee in Chattanooga and Lebanon Ballet School in New Hampshire, teaching ballet and Graham-based modern.
